[applause] in boulder, that spirit has guided this country for more than two centuries. it has carried us through the trials and tribulations of the last four years. we were in the middle of two wars and the worst economic crisis since the great depression. today, because of the resilience of the american people, our businesses have created 5 million new jobs. the american auto industry is back on top. american manufacturing is growing at the fastest pace in 15 years. we are less dependent on foreign oil than any time in 20 years. home values, home construction is on the rise.
